Wyvern Farm Housing Development
Phase 1 of this project at Wyvern Farm housing development was to profile pane of sections of the existing road to align the new road layout, We carried out several full construction depth road repairs and a new junction heading, we then rigorously jet washed clean and hydrovaced the existing road surface that had been used for the main site haul road on construction of the development.
A good layer of bond coat was then applied to the clean dry surface before we commenced resurfacing the 2,560m2 carriageway with a 40mm thick layer of AC10 Surface course and compacted smooth to the material specifications and then installed the new road markings.
Phase 2 of this project was to install a new HRA and pre coat chipped surface course to the carriageways on the other side of this development. Again some rigorous cleaning and hydrovacing to the existing surface and a heavy coat of bitumen bond coat we machine laid a 50mm thick layer of 35/14 HRA and 20mm pre coat chippings to 3,250m2 before installing the new road markings.
