Paving the way for a cleaner environment

The resurfacing of the Croydon cycleway scheme was carried out on a number of night shifts to minimise on disruption to commuters and local the local community.

Each shift started at 21:30 hrs and all noisy operations had to cease by 23:30 hrs gave us a very limited window of time to plane out and prepare and resurface the cycleways.

The typical night shift was to plane out to a depth of 90mm and resurface new AC20 Binder course at 60mm thick and a 6mm Dense surface course at 30mm thick to areas of approximately 700m2 per shift.

Pre planing and synchronisation of all operations was a key part of being able to achieve our clients programme targets.
